This is up @movq@www.uninformativ.de ally, a tiny OS that runs in a boot sector. That’s, it’s only 510 bytes! But check it out, and see what it can do. Truly amazing. Can you beat that?!
I’ve just released version 1.0 of twtxt.el (the Emacs client), the stable and final version with the current extensions. I’ll let the community maintain it, if there are interested in using it. I will also be open to fix small bugs.
I don’t know if this twt is a goodbye or a see you later. Maybe I will never come back, or maybe I will post a new twt this afternoon. But it’s always important to be grateful. Thanks to @prologic@twtxt.net @movq@www.uninformativ.de @eapl.me@eapl.me @bender@twtxt.net @aelaraji@aelaraji.com @arne@uplegger.eu @david@collantes.us @lyse@lyse.isobeef.org @doesnm@doesnm.p.psf.lt @xuu@txt.sour.is @sorenpeter@darch.dk for everything you have taught me. I’ve learned a lot about #twtxt, HTTP and working in community. It has been a fantastic adventure!
What will become of me? I have created a twtxt fork called Texudus (https://texudus.readthedocs.io/). I want to continue learning on my own without the legacy limitations or technologies that implement twtxt. It’s not a replacement for any technology, it’s just my own little lab. I have also made a fork of my own client and will be focusing on it for a while. I don’t expect anyone to use it, but feedback is always welcome.
Best regards to everyone.

and your feed, but your feed certainly does not include that particular twt (it comes from my feed).
@movq@www.uninformativ.de No problems 🤗
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz Whoop, whoop! Congrats 🥳
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org Kind of, but on the other hand: This twt right here refers to 3rvya6q
and your feed, but your feed certainly does not include that particular twt (it comes from my feed).
But my proposal probably isn’t very helpful, either. We have this flat conversation model, so … this twt right here, what should it refer to? Your twt? My root twt? I don’t know.
@prologic@twtxt.net Don’t include this just yet. I need to think about this some more (or drop the idea).
git checkout main && git pull && make build

@bender@twtxt.net Haha 🤣
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz Please git pull and rebuild 😂 Off of main

@prologic@twtxt.net done! hey i got a question, you got any clue why my feeds aren’t updating? maybe it has to do with the new cache flag but i messed with that a bit and didn’t notice a difference. basically it’s like i have to manually restart yarnd
to see new posts it’s really weird lol
git checkout main && git pull && make build
. Few bug fixes 😄
@prologic@twtxt.net I can hear the moans of regret already. They are loud, and steady. 😅
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz @xuu@txt.sour.is Recommend you git checkout main && git pull && make build

@movq@www.uninformativ.de When I reply to a message, I typically already mention the feed. Just like in this very message. I believe this mechanism should work for most replies. But there are of course the odd responses where I do not mention the original feed, but rather some other feed(s) instead to which I actually want to reply. Maybe “forking”, as prologic calls it, would be the better option there.
I visited a good mate after a day in the office and went for a stroll in the evening. It still was really hot, phew, about 24°C. Must have been the aftermath of the fire in the morning! For sure! The firealarm went off during a meeting and we all had to leave the building. Anyway, I only managed to take one lizard photo, all the other ones we came across immediately vanished in the brush or cracks in the vineyard walls. The kestrels were way more cooperative:
@bender@twtxt.net You’re kind of right though 😄 It makes it more engaging IMO 😅
“Monosyllabic replies” refers to responses that consist of a single syllable. These types of replies are typically brief and concise, often used in situations where a simple, direct answer is given. Examples include words like “Yes,” “No,” “Okay,” or “Sure.”
😂 Can I imply you’re not interested in things like “LIke”, “Report”, etc?! 😂
@bender@twtxt.net I knew you wouldn’t be interested in a Twtxt+ActivityPub 😂 Now I have to go figure out what “monosyllabic replies” means 🤣
@movq@www.uninformativ.de Shall I add this to the spec I’m writing? ✍️
After yarnd
v0.16 is released and the next round of specification updates are done and dusted, who wants me to have another crack at building Twtxt and activity pub integration support?

@movq@www.uninformativ.de I didn’t say I was leaving, just not that active here atm. I might be more active on mastodon at https://norrebro.space/@sorenpeter but I’m also rethinking that too tbh.

I’m with @andros@twtxt.andros.dev and @eapl.me@eapl.me on this one. But I have also lost interest in twtxt lately and currently rethinking what digital tools truly add value to my life. So I will not spending my time on adding more complexity to Timeline
. Still a big thanks to you @prologic@twtxt.net for all the great work you have done and all the nice conversations both here and on our video calls.
@Yarn@yarn.social yo, what’s up? I am busy running my business here!

July 1st. 63 days from now to implement a backward-incompatible change, apparently not open to other ideas like replacing blake with SHA, or discussing implementation challenges for other languages and platforms.
Finally just closing #18, #19 and #20 without starting a proper discussion and ignoring a ‘micro consensus’ feels… not right.
I don’t know what to think rather than letting it rest (May will be busy here) and focus on other stuff in the future.
We havet an AI assistant at work, new version came out today “nearby restaurant recommendations” mentioned. Gotta try that!
Ask it where I can get a burger, knowing there’s 3 spots that had it on the menu, AI says there’s none. Ask it to list all the restaurants nearby it can check… it knows 3, of the 10 or so around, but 1/3, even has a burger, on the menu.
Ask it to list the whole menu at restaurant 1: it hallucinates random meals, none of which they had (I ate there).
Restaurant 2 (the one most people go to, so they must have at least tested it with this one): it lists the soup of the day and ¾ meals available. Incomplete, but better than false.
Restaurant 3: it says “food” and gives a general description of food. You have to be fucking kidding me!
“BuT cAnInE, tHe A(G)i ReVoLuTiOn Is NoW”
In Spain, electricity has already been restored. Amazing experience! Luckily, I will only have to throw away some food. But there are stories of all kinds. It has been 12 hours where we have gone back to the middle ages.
After 12 hours of power outage and almost a proper rest I feel uncommonly full of energy

powering this pod twtxt.net 🧐
@prologic@twtxt.net yup. Funny enough, the first twtxt should have sufficed, as if there is no domain, there will be no feed (at that domain). The edit to add that the feed will not be available is redundant.
@twtxtory@twtxtory.adn.org.es is the demo instance for Twtxtory just in case someone would like to have a look (password is in the README file of the project) sorry for the confusion! O:)
@prologic@twtxt.net I started to write it in order to understand better how twtxt works and I thought it could be useful for non-geek people but they like to host their own data
hot take: one swear word per day maximum is reasonable
@prologic@twtxt.net and this reply will work too.
@prologic@twtxt.net well, this fork will work. I an fork this one with jenny, not so with Yarnd.
Just a test!
i feel like i’ve stumbled upon an alternative internet universe, gemini protocol, the small internet and a counter-cultural world!
@aelaraji@aelaraji.com I love them! Now I want to be emperor of the universe :P
I decided to use Imagor to optimise and transform the images into a stream. I am very happy with the results!

(s) / dot(s) like @eapl.me are valid? 🤔 Or nicks even? 🤔
on timeline the mention looks OK. Is there an issue on Yarn?
It’s an interesting topic. For example on Bsky it’s natural to allow domains https://bsky.social/about/blog/4-28-2023-domain-handle-tutorial
Although TwiXter only allows (letters A-Z, numbers 0-9 and of underscores)

Well he is a Marine Corps veteran and they do have the nickname of “Devil Dog”. :-)
@aelaraji@aelaraji.com I use to be a pot or more a day but have cut that back in the last 4 or so years to just 2-3 cups. Main reason was because I was getting jittery which didn’t happen before. I do think it is good to go without periodically (probably applies to more things than coffee) to just reset the system.
I don’t drink it often but decaf’s taste has gotten better too.
at this point I am surviving today out of spite, what a dogshit day fuck u tuesday how dare u
