I forgot to backup my Thunderbird profile using their software; restoring the directory structure from backup wasn’t doing the trick, until I found a Mozilla support article explaining how Thunderbird uses profiles.ini. Bacon saved! Very happy.

@fastidious@arrakis.netbros.com I think there have been some major changes, particularly around cryptographic integrations. I’m pretty vanilla in my usage since ending my hiatus from it last year; prior to that, it was probably the mid 2000s, when I was last what you’d call an active user.

I initially wanted a palatable means of keeping on top of my spam awash cloud accounts, but it’s properly won my heart once again since.
