ah! other option: begging is a very flexible occupation: yoou don’t need to regularly be at a certain place at a certain time, and noone is bossing you around. so you beg when you need to, and do whatever else otherwise. which brings up a further question: what do beggars spend their time on? do they beg most of their waking time or do they only beg for short bursts?
