I changed the code of #goxtxt (my #twtxt #xmpp bot) a little bit. If all went good there should be no change in functionality but it is no more depending on #head and #grep.

@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net I switched from this option to giving my remote user root privileges only for the backup operation with sudo. Then you can just copy the files without thinking about the option to restore right ownership.

@kas@enotty.dk Switching shells is the reason that I started deploying scripts in /usr/local/bin rather than defining aliases. :D Tested #bash #ksh #fish and #zsh and the latter it is now for years already.

Increased the limit in my twtxt botconfig to 280. @mdom@domgoergen.com, is there actually a limit for #txtnish? Didn’t see a config for this.

@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net According to @Leo it is a #mastodon not a #matrix bridge. Oneway bridges just dumping here with no backchannel are pointless.
@Leo others see the URL for @ mentions of people they are not following. Probably they also added them thinking they are twtxt users.
@Leo it was a client problem it seems. #txtnish doesn’t crash.
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net Ah the server.gkbrk.com are from mastodon. Also dumped them as without mastodon I never knew what their tweets where about.
Sorry, for being quite noisy now but it is really fun using #twtxt over #xmpp, am very proud it somehow works even when I’m no programmer.
