Simple, minimal SQL database migrations written in Go with generics. Std lib database/sql and SQLX supported OOTB
I built GoSMig for personal projects and open-sourced it. It’s a tiny library for writing migrations in Go (compile-time checks via generics). Supports both transactional and non-transactional steps, rollback, status/version commands, and a built-in CLI handler so you can ship your own tool.
- Zero dependencies (std lib; golang.org/x/term used for pager support)
- database/sql and sqlx supported out of the box, others w … ⌘ Read more

@prologic@twtxt.net I remember going through your “introduction to Golang”, I don’t remember the URL, but I vividly remember going through it, and I was lost at chapter one. So, about that “mastering” the core in hours, “I don’t believe you.” (insert I don’t believe you meme animated GIF here). LOL.
@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz I don’t like Golang much either, but I am not a programmer. This little site, Go by example might explain a thing or two.
i wish it was realistic for me to learn golang but every single time i try to comprehend any go code i’m like What the fuck am i looking at. why is all of this so short and condensed GIVE ME VERBOSE CODE
i really wanna learn golang it looks fun and capable and i can read it kind of but every time i try it i’m immediately stuck on basic concepts like “what the fuck is a pointer” (this has been explained to me and i still don’t get it). i did have types explained to me as like notes on code which makes sense a bit but i’m mostly lost on basic code concepts

@prologic@twtxt.net YEAH it’s so cool!!! i was thinking about trying it as sorta practice for golang lol
fighting for my life trying to learn golang WHAT THE FUCK IS A POINTER (rhetorical)
i like this little ideas utility i’ve been using like i keep pulling up the idea table to see what i’ve added and it makes me wanna start one of them like the CLI app i wanna write in golang with charmbracelet’s bubbletea even though i only have a vague idea of what i want in a CLI app
really wanna make an ssh zine app inspired by a telnet zine cms i found on github. i’m gonna probably go ahead with the telnet zine idea i have if i can get people for it but if i could build my own ssh mirror for it with golang and the charmbracelet wish library that’d be epic
Honestly… not much. Have abandon two projects (both private) on Golang and one related to cryptography. My mostly languages are Python and Javascript (also can PHP). After writing code on Go i spend same time on fixing dumb errors
Same! Great joke!
from my understanding.. i don’t know how the multiplexing works when its being proxied through another server. I know go has support for it if you call it out directly. https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/net/http2
@movq@www.uninformativ.de If it still existed I bet the first thing he’d do is convert it to Golang 👌🤣
