I don’t think the pod would have to be large. Even on tilde.club and the like, with a few dozen active users, it adds to the fun.
No, totally not useful. 🤣 I mean, the finger protocol is pretty trivial, and it’d be fun to add, but doesn’t replace anything you’re doing.
Oh fun. I was not active on txtnish for a while and now all the feeds are 404 :( I miss you guys…
@prologic@twtxt.net my bad.. my next one is more fun.
I keep meaning to post using twtxt but I tend to forget. Not sure why, because it’s easy and fun
When you’re stuck in a foreign country and ask some guy for the way and the only language you share is Enochian, you just know it’s going to be a fun day

Fun setting up basic productivity tools with Syncthing and Todo.txt
I really want !btprnt to be integrated into !weewiki somehow. Both can speak !janet, and I already figured how to embed PNG images inside of an HTML document. In small doses, it could be fun. #halfbakedideas

I would like to make a list of the computers I own on here, have pictures and specs of the machine. Would be a fun project to index them.
Put a nice twtxt section on the root of my website. Fun fact: it isn’t automated, so every time I “tweet” I have to manually add it there.

Who needs games when you can have fun with contributing to open-source!
Why is programming fun? What delights may its practitioner expect as his reward? First is the sheer joy of making things. As the child delights in his mud pie, so the adult enjoys building things, especially things of his own design. I think this delight must be an image of God’s delight in making things, a delight shown in the distinctness and newness of each leaf and each snowflake. Second is the pleasure of making things that are useful to other people. Deep within, we want others to use our work and to find it helpful. In this respect the programming system is not essentially different from the child’s first clay pencil holder “for Daddy’s office.” Third is the fascination of fashioning complex puzzle-like objects of interlocking moving parts and watching them work in subtle cycles, playing out the consequences of principles built in from the beginning. The programmed computer has all the fascination of the pinball machine or the jukebox mechanism, carried to the ultimate. Fourth is the joy of always learning, which springs from the nonrepeating nature of the task. In one way or another the problem is ever new, and its solver learns something: sometimes practical, sometimes theoretical, and sometimes both. Finally, there is the delight of working in such a tractable medium. The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly re- moved from pure thought-stuff. He builds his castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination. Few media of creation are so flexible, so easy to polish and rework, so readily capable of realizing grand conceptual structures. (As we shall see later, this very tractability has its own problems.) In case you were wondering, using a mouse on iPadOS is fun for about five minutes.
Just getting back home, my son Alejandro crashed his ‘91 Mazda Miata, the kid is fine but the car not so much. It was a fun drive.

@frogorbits.com@www.frogorbits.com Haha, have fun with ed ^^ I recently wrote an article about it and I must admit that it’s indeed “fun” to use x)
I’m using Blink SSH on my iPad and I have an entry in known_hosts that I need to get rid of. I do not have vi available. I do have ed available. This will be fun.
I’ve set up a fingerd on my domain. I’ve not had that much fun for quite a while… feel free to finger sex@ dick@ butt@ touch@ root@. The real one is finger@.
@von@tilde.town re: hidden twtxt: I’ve done this. It was fun.

My idea of a fun Saturday night: achieving Camera Roll Zero.
What a match. Ingolstadt was leading 3-1 and 4-2 but Munich fought back and won 4-7! #INGvsRBM Also 5th regular time win in a row, so Munich remains unbeaten in the new season. Seems this season will be a lot of fun again.
But everything takes too damn long with machine code. Enough fun and games. Resume climbing the ladder of abstraction.
It’s taken a year to get here. I want to take a break, do a Lisp interpreter for fun. Just so I can see a computer boot into a Lisp prompt.
Today’s fish fun: set -l color_host $fish_color_host; if command -qs shasum; set color_host (printf (prompt_hostname) | shasum -pa 256 - | cut -c 59-64 | tr -d ‘\n’); end
fun phrase learned today: “de haut en bas”
@mdosch@mdosch.de I’ve tried to play games on my phone and iPad but none of the games I’ve ever played on them seem to stick. I’ve had fun — briefly — with Threes and FTL and Really Bad Chess and so forth, but I don’t seem to stick with any one game on my iOS gizmos like I have with, say, FTL-on-Steam, much less TF2 or Dota 2.
going without was fun and all, but i’m glad to have something to use again
Remember when Google’s april fool’s day pranks were fun, instead of being getting-rid-of-inbox-forever?

Neal Stephenson demonstrated that people will read (and love) infodumps so long as they’re funny or fun to read. In other words: infodumps in fiction are fine so long as the author is also an essayist.
Having a fun day trying to sort out why my code isn’t working. Only to find out the API server I’m calling is borked.
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net they always claim to have a video of me having fun but there is a sticker on my cam and the webcam module is blacklisted. 🤨
Making bad puns and then learning hidden truths by taking them too seriously is, basically, the most human form of human intelligence. That’s why we make fun of people for doing it. Dad jokes are the foundation of cognition.
