@mdosch@mdosch.de because its what I have. i don’t have the funds to replace it with something more powerful. Am considering wiping it and slapping a linux on.
@dgold@dgold.eu Why do you use mac of you don’t like it? 🤣
@lahvak@lahvak.github.io: And a decent base system as well as a decent terminal and decent defaults.
@melyanna@tilde.club awesome! thanks great.
tilde.club twtxt users: $ find /home -type d -name ‘public_html’ -exec find {} -type f \; 2>/dev/null | grep twtxt
$ pico ~/.config/twtxt/config (note to self)
Incomplete, not packaged for casual use, and this UI library won’t scroll, but my twtxt client kinda works https://github.com/jcolag/Uxuyu
Working on the twtxt api…

@kas@enotty.dk That must be wrong for a long time then or was there a release recently?
Using twtxt from bash now using echo
our getwtxt (registry server on https://twtxt.envs.net) is now on Version 0.4.13.
@marado@tilde.pt this is techically not ASCII but who cares: ¯_(ツ)_/¯
@marado@tilde.pt lá se vai a minha teoria. afinal o twtxt não serve para ascii art
Welcome to twtxt @marado!
Moving to a tilde -> http://tilde.pt/~gil/twtxt.txt, hopefully it will be easier to manage using one liners instead of a google sheet
@johanbove@johanbove.info After hearing about your Gopher server and seeing a .plan link on your website, I was disappointed to not see a finger daemon running on your server
@lahvak@lahvak.github.io Maybe the exact answer is, like, something divided by 7.
@tux0r@rosaelefanten.org holy moly, ed? I thought I’d be the only ed user I’d ever hear about. (2) http://www.catb.org/esr/src/ should be fine in Dropbox, too, right?
Posted to Entropy Arbitrage: Free Social Networking Showdown - twtxt https://john.colagioia.net/blog/media/2020/03/21/twtxt.html #socialmedia #freesoftware #twtxt #socialshowdown
@kas@enotty.dk Sorry I never replied. Haven’t quite gotten up to speed, here, but investigating the blog issue and twistnik!
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net I think the idea is to minimise the spread from one customer to all customers, but also from a sick driver to you if the driver wears / changes gloves regularly and doesn’t handle the food too intimately.
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net Probably scanning for a router or a backdoored free PHP script
Hello @ekkie@envs.net 🙂
What’s a good amount of time for caching twtxt files? Looks like @freemor@freemor.homelinux.net has it set to 15 minutes.
Hey @ekkie@envs.net
hello @ekkie@envs.net =)
@von@tilde.town once I read the manual and found out that the current line was the last line, all I needed to do was type «d\nw\nq\n». So glad I took the vim path instead of the emacs path.
@oevl@oevl.info I don’t live on the #CLI but I listed some CLI and #TUI tools I use regularly: https://blog.mdosch.de/2019/06/06/tui-programme/ (German)
@mdosch@mdosch.de My site has not been crawled since 2018, and trying to add the twtxt file manually did not worked, maybe with an HTML rendering and a link. #WaybackMachine

@frogorbits.com@www.frogorbits.com Haha, have fun with ed ^^ I recently wrote an article about it and I must admit that it’s indeed “fun” to use x)
@oevl@oevl.info Maybe you have luck and your twtxt.txt file is archived by archive.org
Note to self: Keep the twtxt.txt file under version control.

Due to the same situation, my original twtxt.txt file was also lost, but since I keep various clients, making a new tweet restored part of it.

@jcolag@john.colagioia.net What is Entropy Arbitrage?
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net ok, that sounds suspicious.
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net Freenode has been doing this for over a decade. The next time you connect, check your server messages. They explain this.
@oevl@oevl.info Ah, so it’s a launcher. Never heard about that. Thanks.
Hey @mdosch@mdosch.de Yes, I do. That’s how all royals do this Twtxt thing, I am not the one to be mocked by Harry or Meghan because I have to type while they just yell at the butlers.

@oevl@oevl.info What are Albert/Alfred? Do you have butlers who tweet for you?
Not that I am asking any #twtxt developer to give me that, I am just saying that I am going to build those tools that I want

I can tweet and twtxt from the command line, now I want a popup text area, a simple local Web interface and an Albert/Alfred action to do it without going to the terminal.
