Rewriting Pagenode
Today I released Pagenode – a project that I started 14 years ago. Pagenode began its life as a full-fledged Content Management System and now, after countless rewrites, became a simple library. Pagenode’s journey mimics my own as a developer. Its current iteration expresses my desire for simplicity.

Today is thanksgiving. Celebrate by determining who you don’t owe a debt to – who, in the total scheme of things, has had a net negative effect on your life – writing them a nasty letter, and setting it on fire.
‘Free your mind and your ass will follow’ is absurdly optimistic. Freedom of mind is necessary but not sufficient for freedom of ass. In the short term, wokeness makes your life harder because you become aware of how bad things are.

No I know they’d like to study it harder, but now imagine something that’s both as ravenous as life and as competent as technology hitching a ride back up and escaping onto the interstellar stage, we’d lose that whole galaxy
You see, this planet has developed technology and life, remarkable really, problem is that all the probes we sent to study its biomechanosphere have so far either been eaten or shot down by local wildlife, so we’ve quarantined it
Confirming the intelligent designer’s existence, and using its intelligence to solve otherwise intractable problems by making them look like niches for life to settle
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net My take on this is… let’s let people ruin the web. Let centralized services control everything. But let us tech savvy people stick together and provide an alternative space for us. A space that’s welcoming to those that want to join and learn. Maybe people will come over when their online actions show real life consequences. There are statistics about decreasing social media use in Generation Z. Maybe they want to learn from us Internet-Dinosaurs :)
The workflow app on iOS is magic. I now have a button that asks me to select a picture, then converts it to png, resizes it, strips the metadata, scps it to my jumphost, scps it further to my gopher jail and into my paste directory, constructs the http proxy URL and opens it in safari. All without user-interaction. Now I can share my mobile life with you guys! Prepare for cat pictures!
What is happiness?
After questioning myself on the meaning of life—something I still do, by the way—I long settled that, regardless of what it might be, living a happy life and aiming to be happy is what life is all about. Happiness, though, isn’t a fixed thing. Just like the many avatars of gods, their many incarnations, happiness comes from many sources, and is often found in subtle contexts throughout life. It is not absolute, and its definition may vary from person to person: what brings me happiness migh … ⌘ Read more
