Pinellas County - Long run: 11.54 miles, 00:10:09 average pace, 01:57:14 duration
kind of sucked. should have waited another day and gave my body an actual rest because my legs were tired as fuck. did the park-to-park route which was cool. the second park was cool because it had a lot of walkways and a neat tower thing so did a bit of tourist mode there. the last leg of the run was brutal and just did not have the motivation.

Interesting thing happening over on Xitter. Apparently some of the women in tech accounts are being exposed as being run by men that hire women to pose for images/videos. They would be invited to tech conferences but would always drop out last minute.

Makes me wonder if maybe there is need for a sort of verifiable web of trust is needed where influencers can be proven as authentic by others. This will only get worse as AI generative content gets pushed into our feeds.

Pinellas County - 90’: 9.25 miles, 00:08:51 average pace, 01:21:46 duration
one of those runs you do not want to stop. great pace where it felt like i was pushing enough and also allowing myself to recover. had to call it quits with about 9 minutes left due to a weird pain in the left heel. feels fine now but being cautious. ready for a rest day tomorrow!

called it early due to spicy food and opted for treadmill. was trying to get to zone 5 and was sure the pace would get me there at the peak, but barely reached threshold with conditions. curious if i was outside how different it would have been. new training block. 10:55, 9:41, 6:59

SPRF Half Marathon: 13.20 miles, 00:09:29 average pace, 02:05:12 duration
still host and humid (no surprise) but more cloud cover today. no kids but beth came and was able to cheer me on in a couple of places which was fun. the last bit she yelled “five to go!” which kind of got in my head a bit, albeit i think the heat started to get to me as well. had to take a couple of brief walks just to recollect and focus again. pretty good training run. keeping it in the green for the most part and around marathon pace. can’t wait to see how cooler weather and more training will pay off!

Today, while being in the second home over the weekend, I finally installed the 5G router setup (ZTE MC801A + GL.iNet Beryl AX). Now my home server (staying in this flat because it has a good place here) is behind a cellular 5G connection. There’s running nothing important on it, but let’s see how reliable this new setup will work over a longer period. Today so far all works fine. And if there will be problems, I still have a few months time to find solutions. ⌘ Read more
