Mike Johnson says Trump was ‘using satire to make a point’ with AI poop-bombing video
Meredith Lee Hill,  Senior Congress Reporter  -  Politico

_Stephan: I have not been able to get the Trump video of him wearing a crown as a pilot and shitting on Americans demonstrating for “No Kings.” There is no precendent for anything remotely like this in the entire history of the United States. The World’s Hottest Engine Is Smaller Than a Cell and Hotter Than the Sun’s Corona
Gayoung Lee,  Staff Reporter  -  Gizmodo

Their comments seemed so strange to me, I didn’t even know how to ask questions about what they were describing. ** A week notes to round out the summer **
I haven’t posted anything remotely resembling week notes since the middle of June! Since then many things have happened including, but not limited to: a trip to Minnesota to visit Isaac, a couple trips to New Hampshire for work, a family trip to Mount Desert Island to revisit our old stomping grounds, a whole heap of bicycle riding, I finished a couple great books, played some games, made some games, and wrote what is probably an unhealthy a … ⌘ Read more

Buying a TV these days, means trying to avoid endless enshitification:
-Spyware and adware
-Shitty AI upscaling/ frame interpolation
-HW that breaks after 2 - 3 years
-One off OS, dead on arrival
-Android OS, that starts lagging after the third update
-8 buttons worth of ads, on your remote

You probably have to make some kind of a compromise. I thought that was buying from some other brand like Hyundai, but that one also felt into some of those categories and just broke, after less than 3 years of use. At this point I’ll probably go back to LG and hope their HW is still reliable and the rest manageable… It has AI bullshit and knowing LG, probably some spyware you have to try your best to get rid of, can buy a remote with “only” 2 ads on it, some web-based OS shared between all their TVs, that usually gets 4 - 5 years worth of updates and works decently enough afterwards.

At this point, I’ll probably settle for anything that doesn’t literally fall apart, not even 3 years in, like the Hyundai did.

能用 MQ 就不要用 RPC?

In-reply-to » @kat I've almost fixed this btw 🤗 Just testing it thoroughly and polihsing the code. In case you're curious, I do this style of development called "Observability Driven Development" (ODD) whereby I make observations of the system via metrics and internal observations and adjust the system's overall behavior to the desired outcome 😅

I am sure it wasn’t your intention (not even remotely), but it sounds a lot like corporate bullshit. Hahahaha! Are you sure you haven’t been institutionalised?

In-reply-to » Seem like it's a server-client thingy? 🤔 I much prefer tools in this case and defer the responsibility of storage to something else. I really like restic for that reason and the fact that it's pretty rock solid. I have zero complaints 😅

@prologic@twtxt.net I also thought it was a client-server thingy at first and usually it is, I guess, there’s just this workaround:

If it is not possible to install Borg on the remote host, it is still possible to use the remote host to store a repository by mounting the remote filesystem, for example, using sshfs.
