10 Mind-Blowing Revelations About Our Solar System
Considering the universe is almost 100 billion light-years acrossâdue to inflation (not monetary) and whatnotâitâs amazing that some of the coolest discoveries and revelations are in our solar system. Thatâs like crossing the world (many, many, many times) and then finding treasure in your own backyard. Maybe the proximity is part of the appeal because [âŠ]

10 Times That Inmates Helped Save Lives
When people think of prison, heroism is rarely the first thing that comes to mind. But behind bars, stories occasionally emerge that challenge assumptions about those serving time. Despite their past mistakes, some inmates have proven that when a life is on the line, compassion and courage can shine throughâeven in the most unlikely places. [âŠ]

@kat@yarn.girlonthemoon.xyz Itâs more like a cache, it stores things like âtimestamp of the most recent twt weâve seen per feedâ or âlast modification dateâ (to be used with HTTPâs if-modified-since header). You can nuke these files at any time, it might just result in more traffic (e.g., always getting a full response instead of just âHTTP 304 nope, didnât changeâ).
@quark@ferengi.one Yes, I often write a couple of twts, donât publish them, then sometimes notice a mistake and want to edit it. Youâre right, as soon as stuff is published, threads are going to break/fork by edits.
@movq@www.uninformativ.de wouldnât editing your own twtxts cause the same issue Yarnd (or any other client) has, which is breaking any replies to it? Under which conditions would this work the best? When copying the twtxt.txt file asynchronously? In my case I copy the twtxt.txt file to its web root right away, but I figure I could not do that, which would give me a set period of time to edit without worries.
@bender@twtxt.net very true in both regards!!! <333 happy to see you too, i missed your silly bender icon hahha. my times could be better but things will improve i am sure of it

Ten Times Scientists Created Astonishing New States of Matter
Most people are well aware of the three main states of matter: solids, liquids, and gases. 10 Times Humanity Tried to Redesign the Calendar
For most of us, the Gregorian calendar is simply the way time works. @andros@twtxt.andros.dev how often do you send a private message on the Fediverse? How often do you send PGP/SMIME encrypted emails? Are there other tools that are more suitable for the task? If implementing direct/private messages on twtxt scratches an itch (you know, that hobbyist itch we all get from time to time), then donât give up so easily. Worse comes to worse, and your feed becomes too noisy, people can simply unfollow/mute.

The subjective charms of Objective-C
To argue that Objective-C resembles a metaphysically divine language, or even a good language, is like saying Shakespeare is best appreciated in pig latin. Objective-C is, at best, polarizing. Ridiculed for its unrelenting verbosity and peculiar square brackets, it is used only for building Mac and iPhone apps and would have faded into obscurity in the early 1990s had it not been for an unlikely quirk of history. Nevertheless, in my time working as a softwar ⊠â Read more
