I’m also more in favor of #reposts being human readable and writable. A client might implement a bottom that posts something simple like: #repost Look at this cool stuff, because bla bla [alt](url)

This will then make it possible to also “repost” stuff from other platforms/protocols.

The reader part of a client, can then render a preview of the link, which we talked about would be a nice (optional) feature to have in yarnd.

Yarn could the twtxt I want more then regular twtxt. Though I do like not having to host a yarn pod.

That client looks really cool. A web client that connects to a regular twtxt without the need to host a full yarn pod for just one user and feed.
What is the difference between twtxt-php and timeline from sorenpeter? Does it have a way to follow feeds from the web ui?

I was looking at it and what prevents someone from downloading the .config file and getting the password? Also how would I generate a totp password to use?
I should try to host that it might be the right not a full on yarn pod but also can post from my phone.

The weird thing is in my server logs it shows that your site pulled in the useragent as https://eapl.me/twtxt/?url=https%3A//neotxt.dk/user/darch/twtxt.txt with bytesypider from bytedance? That sounds weird. Plus I can’t grep just twtxt in my logs and find your feed.

I am thinking about setting up a yarn instance. Twtxt is cool but it would be nice to be able to post from my phone.
Local posting would be a cool feature for yarn to have. A feed that can only be viewed by logged in users of that instance.

whew, rough plan was 3 miles warm-up, then 1 mile on/off at 8:30 pace, then cool down the rest of the way. little bit fast for some intervals, and boy did that bridge wipe me out (the third interval?). during the cool down had to stop to find tissues and also going up the final bridge. not trying to kill myself being i still have parental duties with it being christmas eve and all. overall it was a great outing if i must say so.

kind of sucked. should have waited another day and gave my body an actual rest because my legs were tired as fuck. did the park-to-park route which was cool. the second park was cool because it had a lot of walkways and a neat tower thing so did a bit of tourist mode there. the last leg of the run was brutal and just did not have the motivation.

brutally hot and humid. body was fine for the most part but it definitely had my HR high. saw ray on the course pacing someone and talked to him for a bit which was a nice break. i felt good about the run even though it was exhausting. took me quite a while to cool down afterwards.

Unfortunately, like so many metaverse efforts, it’s almost devoid of life. Interesting worlds to explore, cool tools to build your own stuff, but almost no people in it. It feels depressing, like an abandoned shopping mall.

(1) You go to the store and buy a microwave pizza. You go home, put it in the microwave, heat it up. Maybe it’s not quite the way you like it, so you put some red pepper on it, maybe some oregano.

Are you a pizza chef? No. Do we know what your cooking is like? Also no.

(2) You create a prompt for StableDiffusion to make a picture of an elephant. What pops out isn’t quite to your liking. You adjust the prompt, tweak it a bunch, till the elephant looks pretty cool.

Are you an artist? No. Do we know what your art is like? Also no.

The elephant is “fake art” in a similar sense to how a microwave pizza is “fake pizza”. That’s what I meant by that word. The microwave pizza is a sort of “simulation of pizza”, in this sense. The generated elephant picture is a simulation of art, in a similar sense, though it’s even worse than that and is probably more of a simulacrum of art since you can’t “consume” an AI-generated image the way you “consume” art.

Very cool. I like the chain rules. I wonder how it performs against lextwt.
