I will be at Southeast Linuxfest 2022 (June 10-12) in Charlotte, NC.
Title says the gist.
In 2018, I went to Southeast Linuxfest and gave a presentation which you can see here or .
It was nice meeting the (shockingly normal) people who knew me from the interest last time.
I’m going to be attending again this year, as the title says Ju … ⌘ Read more

To kick off my few days of Easter vacation, I took my freshly inspected and repaired pedelec (e-bike) with beautiful weather (20 degrees and sun) and drove a round on the “Ringgleis”, a bike path around my city. The total mileage has now also finally reached the 3000 km. That’s still not much over several years, but I still have my second, non-electric bike, with which I probably ride a lot more. ⌘ Read more

Prosodical Thoughts: Prosody 0.12.0 released
ÄNTLIGEN! It’s finally here! After 3 years of development and through some chaotic times, Prosody 0.12.0 is released!
What’s the significance of this release? Like many software projects, Prosody follows a “branch” development/release model. We frequently make minor releases with bug fixes and improvements from our stable branch, while we implement more adventurous changes in our development branch, ready for the next major release.
Well, this is one of those adventurous … ⌘ Read more

Monal IM: Insights into Monal Development
TLDR:
_Info: Monal will stop support for iOS 12, iOS 13 and macOS Catalina!
We are searching for a SwiftUI developer.
We need a new simplified website.
With better continuous funding, our push servers will move from the US to Europe.
We have a new support mail: info@monal-im.org_
Two years ago we decided to rewrite the Monal app almost entirely and improve it gradually in the process, instead of creating another XMPP Client for iOS and macOS. We suc … ⌘ Read more

Celebrating Our Second Fiscal Year
Yesterday, January 31, we finished our second full fiscal year since our November 2019 restructuring and recapitalization, and I couldn’t be prouder of the Docker team and what we’ve accomplished together. While it’s difficult to summarize 12 months, highlights include: Shipping 7,000+ product features, fixes, and updates to developers, including Docker Desktop for M1 Macs, […]

Prosodical Thoughts: Prosody 0.11.13 released
We are pleased to announce a new minor release from our stable branch.
This is a(nother!) release for our stable branch to fix a memory leak caused
by the security fix. Deployments using websockets, SQL storage and possibly
other configurations may have noticed increasing memory usage after upgrading
to 0.11.12. This is resolved by this new release.

** Star Wars, and a year in review **
I tried to write a“ year in review” kinda post, but it got wicked melodramatic pretty fast. This year has been a slog…it really fucking sucked.
Rather than reflect on it further, I thought I’d write about something vapid that I’ve been thinking a bit about lately instead: Star Wars.
Despite my best efforts, I’ve always loved Star Wars. As a child I spent hundreds of hours pouring over novels, and comics, and books of sch … ⌘ Read more

Close to the end of 2021 I’m excited to announce the release of PGPainless version 1.0.0! After a series of release candidates, it is finally time to party!
