@lucidiot@tilde.town The dash-plus system might actually work for what I need :) Thanks for pointing it out ! (and thanks for all the good advices)
@von@tilde.town You’ll probably want a separate BuJo if you have a bunch of work-only tasks. One of the nice things about OmniFocus is that it can be really good at hiding tasks you can’t make headway on at the moment for one reason or another, assuming you tag things appropriately.
@lucidiot@tilde.town Thanks ! Also I have a question, should I make a separate bujo for work ? Or will I be overwhelmed ? I can’t decide whether it would be useful
@ckipp@chronica.xyz https://webring.xxiivv.com/hallway.html looks amazing! How does it work?
after a month hiatus, I am getting back into some low level norns work. 8x8 bitmap fonts look real good on this thing
@von@tilde.town I moved my family to xmpp. For friends you might consider quicksy that works like WhatsApp but you can reach them via normal xmpp. Maybe you will also find some interesting groupchats there: https://search.jabber.network/rooms/1
@von@tilde.town I envy you for being able to use #Linux at work.
Currently reinstalling i3 at work :)
I just pushed a fix for https://github.com/mdom/txtnish/issues/11. It seems to work but i have currently no test suite for txtnish, so please don’t hesitate to inform me if anything weird happens with mentions.

Does reverse work?
Working locally and remotely!
I think I have this working now :)
@robbinaer@robbinaer.info Yeah I solved it. Also I allowed scripts. Maybe it didn’t work because I didn’t allow cookies?
@mdosch@mdosch.de that would be great! i thought i had the audio working for a second but then i didn’t
@leo@www.gkbrk.com maybe my #xmpp bot is doing something wrong, but everything else works.
@mox@tilde.town I can show you my setup for volume, brightness and screenshots when I am back home. I only use the suspend key in gdm3 where it works out of the box. I have a shortcut for calling ‘gdmflexiserver’ when I’m leaving the computer as my wife can’t log in to her account otherwise.

/meta @ckipp@chronica.xyz About images, sure, I understand it’s useless for CLI-only use. But if we added our own format, maybe something like Markdown
would work?/meta @ckipp@chronica.xyz Also yes, a simple string search would be fine. I’m not JS-savvy enough to be sure, but I guess it would work a bit like tags?
cool working now I just have to figure out how to sync local file with the github hosted version
hopefully this works
If God’s fingerprints are evident in its work, that means its fingers are weird indeed, tentacles probably understate it by quite a bit
things have quieted down here but i’m working all the time

Turns out that color-scheme support only works in the Safari Technology Preview beta.
This is the kind of nerd thing I’d like for my working out, especially since I’m getting into cardio a little bit more.

I am sorry I was late
I can explain why I was so late, I swear.
I woke up this morning after a brilliant two hours of sleep and went to milk the cow. She did not really have much, so the cereal kinda blew. Anyways, as I turned on my red 1993 Chevy Malibu I realised the garage was not opening. Great, the power was down! I went upstairs with a broom and woke up the hamster, which must have fallen asleep on the job. It took some deliberation, taking a full three minutes to get the power working again.

You know, Desert 2 is probably the best static Mojave wallpaper. It has enough light parts for the daytime, yet it also is generally dark enough to work well in dim lighting. Not many photographs are like that.

There isn’t an end. We’re just gonna have to put a lot of work into becoming incrementally better forever, knowing that if we stop, it’s a failure and we’re letting people down. (That’s what we get for Killing God.)

I wanted to feel productive this evening, but I didn’t want to do any useful work. In related news, I’ve switched to https://fishshell.com/ from GPLv2 bash.

A lot of large software projects are so bad that liking them should automatically disqualify someone from working on them, unless you like them in a masochistic semi-sexual way.
Media mix is interesting. You can optimize a work for adaptation but that keeps you from taking advantage of features of your medium. The best adaptations are sometimes difficult-to-adapt medium-specific forms that forced creativity (ex. Bakemonogatari)
