One thing for sure on this project I’m working on, being able to run multiple CURL requests at once has been a real time saver.

They want to use something that’s premade and that they can use without learning anything about it. Decentralization is a technical Detail, nobody cares about. Just like security or freedom. It’s all nice to have if it comes for free, no time investment and no convenience cuts. I love working with 3rd Party software. When you have an issue you get to put in a ticket and then wait weeks for a response.

Impact Is Now Free & Open Source
My HTML5 Game Engine Impact launched almost 8 years ago. The last update was published in 2014. While Impact still works nicely in modern browsers, it lacks support for better graphic and sound APIs that are now available. I felt increasingly bad for selling a product that is hardly maintained or improved.

So as of today Impact will be available completely for free, published under the permissive MIT License.
