After all, debugging is still fun!
One reason I use an Android smartphone is that there are apps like Indigenous (a MicroPub-compatible app for posting from your phone to a MicroPub-compatible blog). And even if the app ever disappears from the store, there’s still the option to manually install the app. And if you need to, you can also develop your own apps without having to invest nearly $100 a year. ⌘ Read more

It is also too overrun with Tech Bros scamming people to get rich quick.
It was a fun ride back when I first bought in. But I have since cached out for my lambos and such.

A fun little game: Pocket City
I’m generally not a gamer, playing computer games has never really fascinated me, I find programming more exciting. But sometimes I don’t feel like programming or I don’t have the possibility to do it. Of course it’s important to be bored sometimes, because then you can think about things for a while. But a little entertainment in a free minute is sometimes not bad as well. ⌘ Read more

Day 16 of Advent of Code is so confusing that I will not finish today’s puzzle. I wonder if yesterday was my last day with Advent of Code, or will the puzzles become more understandable and easier again in the next few days? Maybe I’m just more the practical type. Back in Paris, how fun.
Had a great day today. Fun at work, went for a long walk and did my grocery shopping, have set a dough for tomorrow’s breakfast. And finished writing stuff that I’ve longed to do.
Sometimes it’s hard to prioritize projects. Should I do the most important first? The most fun? Is it worth trudging through the less interesting part of project A just to see it finished?
I realized this morning why I’m put off by super hero movies. They are fun, and I’ve always loved comic books, but the super hero movies of the last decade specifically, (I mean, beside being military propaganda) totally omit the potential future of any sort of utopia. They cannot envision their own undoing.
The stories are predicated on the super heros always needing something to be super against, despite having fantastical abilities to help usher in some sort of uto … ⌘ Read more

** How to install Uxn on macOS **
Uxn is an esoteric stack-machine with 32 bit instructions. It exists someplace at the intersection of a GameBoy, 6502 ASM, an Apple II, Forth, RetroForth, the z80, a Sinclair ZX Spectrum, and“what if Nausicaä from Studio Ghibli’s Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind used a computer?” It is tiny, unlike most anything else around these days, and, once you wrap your head around it, pretty fun.
