Tigase Blog: Using STUN & TURN server with Tigase XMPP Server with XEP-0215 (External Service Discovery) ⌘ https://tigase.net/tigase-server-with-stun-turn/
@prologic@twtxt.net So far it doesn’t mean much but being a member is a precondition to participate in the work teams. I want to join the editor team https://xmpp.org/about/xsf/editor-team and maybe also the commteam https://wiki.xmpp.org/web/CommTeam
@prologic@twtxt.net Yeah, busy with work and life. 😂 Also I got voted into the #XSF so probably I’ll be more busy with #XMPP im the future. How are you doing?

Tigase Blog: Tigase XMPP Server meets Docker ⌘ https://tigase.net/tigase-meets-docker/
@lukem@twtxt.net Nice. As I don’t know how to create an android app I just wrote an xmpp bot for using twtxt. It’s probably very hacky as I am no programmer at all.

As it seems to be not well known I advertise it again: Please join the (inofficial) #twtxt #XMPP room at xmpp:twtxt@chat.mdosch.de?join
https://t2bot.io/docs/2020-matrix-org-lag/ Some confirmation why I prefer the good ‘ol (actually it’s improving to current demands all the time) #XMPP and don’t switch to the fancy new kids in town like, currently, #MATRIX.
#Conversations with #VoIP is released. 🎉 https://nitter.net/iNPUTmice/status/1254662039592742913 #XMPP
There is now a nice monitoring service for #XMPP service operators: https://observe.jabber.network/ (Thanks jonas´)
First release candidate of android #XMPP client #Conversations is available and working smooth with my server. Hope it will be released soon. 😃
#Conversations beta with #VoIP is working already for me. Not yet perfect but for beta stage already pretty good. #XMPP

@von@tilde.town What is session? For chatting I use #XMPP since ~2003 😃

@sarmonsiill@twtxt.ti-l.de I have an xmpp bot running on my vps and the bot updates my twtxt.txt using txtnish. So I use twtxt via xmpp.
If you can read this my twtxt (including my twtxt #xmpp bot) is up and running again. 😀
If someone is using this niche microblog thing twitter: #profanity has a poll what terminal #xmpp client you are using: https://twitter.com/ProfanityIM/status/1207317970667606022
@lucidiot@tilde.town I think I’ve heard it’s using #XMPP but I don’t find a source right now.
The new #xmpp newsletter is available: https://xmpp.org/2019/11/newsletter-08-november/
@mdosch@mdosch.de Yeah, I might try that, but for the moment I just made my gf use Signal, small step. Thanks for the link :)
@von@tilde.town I moved my family to xmpp. For friends you might consider quicksy that works like WhatsApp but you can reach them via normal xmpp. Maybe you will also find some interesting groupchats there: https://search.jabber.network/rooms/1
The #xmpp newsletter 10/2019 is the first one which got translated to German: https://www.jabber.de/xmpp-newsletter-01-oktober-2019-fosdem-2020-modernisierung-von-xmpp-peer-networks/
@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net : [XMPP] I have an account for a long time, but only talk with one person, not that often :/ I’m sad not a lot uses it

@kas@enotty.dk Your link made it into the libraries test. 😂 https://github.com/FluuxIO/go-xmpp/commit/005c8823d9a3d57c133737f1f889658c3ddb869b
@kas@enotty.dk Oh, it’s so bad? I created an issue. So you might comment there if you have knowledge of possible vulnerabilities. https://github.com/FluuxIO/XMPP/issues/6
@kas@enotty.dk yes, gosrc.io/xmpp is using a lot of fprintf and seems to not do escaping for % 😒
@kas@enotty.dk It looks like the message is f***ed up by the #xmpp library I am using and not by my code. :-/
Regarding my problem with some chars from @kas@enotty.dkdk: The txtnish output looks fine. As I don’t see anything in my program that could cause this I asked in the #golang #xmpp room. Let’s see if someone has a good idea.
@kas@enotty.dk I don’t know. I will check what txtnish output in the terminal looks like. Right now I only access #twtxt via my #xmpp bot.
@adiabetic@www.frogorbits.com I think my pulse would be high a lot of times if using iOS. I hear of so many problems from #xmpp devs fighting iOS and push. Not having a reliable chat app due to apples design constraints would really piss me off.
@adiabetic@www.frogorbits.com Looks nice. But it supports strange things like telegram, hipchat and so on but not the standard #xmpp 😡
@leo@www.gkbrk.com maybe my #xmpp bot is doing something wrong, but everything else works.
I totally prefer #XMPP over #IRC. I like it being federated and with #Conversations you have a good mobile client, also you don’t need to setup a bouncer.
