Some IP (from Brazil) requests some (non-existing, completely broken) URL from my webserver. But they use the hostname uninformativ.de, so they get redirected to www.uninformativ.de.
In the next step, just a second later, some other IP (from Nepal) issues an HTTP proxy request for the same URL.
Clearly, someone has no idea how HTTP redirects work. And clearly, they’re running their broken code on some kind of botnet all over the world.

typical 5km easy then 5km comfortable-uncomfortable followed by another 5km easy. local weather and signs said it was around 48F, very low humidity (the sweat salt stains prove that bit), and just a really nice day out with a breeze. stopped the run after the planned session to get some extra walking in for a stupid garmin challenge.

Yes, URL can be considered ugly, but they work and are understandable by both humans and machines. And its trivial for any client to hide the URLs used as reference in replies/treading.
Webfinger can be an add-on to help lookup people, and it can be made independent of the nick by just serving the same json regardless of the nick as people do with static sites and a as I implemented it on darch.dk (wf endpoint). Grand Canyon Rim To Rim: 27.90 miles, 00:28:36 average pace, 13:17:46 duration
grand canyon rim-to-rim with kelly and craig. it was a blast! a lot of firsts: crazy elevation, head lamps, poles. i had a really good time and then we started to encounter some elevation. definitely could feel the altitude as soon as there was an incline. then after so many large steps up my quads started to feel it. at one point everything seized up and i fell down. luckily craig jumped in my leg and started stretching it out which helped a lot. the rest of it from there it was slow going but only once the large steps were sparse we cruised ahead. definitely would do it again.

easy run on the treadmill today since we have a lot going on and i had to watch the kiddos. split into three 5kms with first and last at about 10:55 pace, and the middle 5km at about a 9:14 pace. nothing crazy, felt good, kept it in the blue and finished it strong.
