Isto é um bocado ridículo, contudo, porque a Europa é signatária do acordo de Paris, e para o poder cumprir, a ciência diz que não só esta redução de emissões tem de existir, como até tem de ser maior.

Mas pronto, continuamos nas proclamações enquanto adiamos as ações…

Coisas sobre a Greve Geral que ainda nem toda a gente sabe:

1. A greve não é só para funcionários públicos, é para todos;

2. Aderir à greve é tão simples como não ir trabalhar: não é preciso mais nada, nem avisar a chefia nem nada. Tudo é automático;

3. A única “repercussão negativa” de fazer greve é que o trabalhador não recebe a remuneração desse dia;

4. Fazer greve não é uma “coisa da política”, é uma defesa dos direitos dos trabalhadores, que estão em causa neste pacote laboral (fica mais fácil ser despedido, mesmo sem razão; horas de trabalho de graça; etc.);

5. A greve é mesmo para todos: não é preciso um contrato de trabalho, e nem é preciso ser trabalhador - reformados, estudantes, todos podem fazer greve. Uma forma de o fazer é minimizando dar trabalho aos outros, a não ser em casos de urgência.

Conclusão/considerações pessoais: dois maus candidatos, mas isto serviu para me consolidar na ideia que GeM é pior. Tenho curiosidade em ouvir MM a falar nalguns destes temas, para ver se está mais alinhados com o Governo (por exemplo com a conversa do salário mínimo), para comparação. Apesar de ter ficado com a ideia de GeM ter sido pior (aquela “pequena política” inicial provavelmente influenciou-me) foi Seguro quem deixou passar medidas inconstitucionais, e não vê nada de errado

While generative AI (GenAI) promises productive efficiency, it can paradoxically lead to lower-quality work. I haven’t read this and can’t vouch for it; seems vaguely AI-boostery. Still, the conclusions are interesting. This seems to be the picture that is emerging about generative AI generally: most people don’t like it and find that degrades the quality of work. Coders seem to like it and think that it helps them, but in fact it makes the slower, less productive, and more bug prone.

By all measures it’s a bad technology. We should just be honest about it. There is no need to make excuses for multi-trillion-dollar corporations.

The same intermittent reward operant conditioning that gets people addicted to gambling and thinking that if they follow certain rituals they’ll win “next time” drives people’s beliefs that AI tools are making them more productive when they’re making them less productive. I’m going to guess that a side effect of this is that people think they’re typing less when in the longer term they’re typing the same amount or more when you factor in the productivity loss (as far as I’ve read the studies don’t measure this so I’m only guessing).
