Yesterday I expanded the memory in my home and code server to 16 GB and wondered what I could do with all the resources this server provides me. So I looked around a bit and came across an open source program called Node-RED. My home and code server now has 2 TB of SSD storage and 16 GB of RAM. While I’ll be using the storage for backups, etc., I’m not quite sure what I can use the 16 GB of RAM for yet. What else can I run besides Home Assistant, AdGuard Home, Drone and Tailscale? I still have my VPS running my websites, Miniflux, Bitwarden, Firefox Sync Server, RSS-Bridge, Firefly III, Nitter and Gitea. 🤔 ⌘ Read more

They are new MBPs, with two screen sizes, not new screen sizes 😊. 14” and 16”. Both can be configured with the M1MAX, but having that SoC automatically bumps the RAM to 32GB, making them somewhat pricey.
This week I turned 16,000 days old.

Alone, scared, and lonely
Our vehicle was towed away earlier this week because I parked it on the street momentarily during the day, and completely forgot to move it back to the driveway at dusk. Our neighbourhood strictly enforces a no street parking from 00:00 to 06:00, so we paid the consequences of an old mind’s oversight.
