CBS Cuts Trump’s Corruption Tantrum From ’60 Minutes’ Edit
Cameron Adams ,  Reporter  -  Daily Beast

Stephan: Yesterday I posted an article on what a sad shadow 60 Minutes and CBS have become since the compary was bought by a Republican supporting billionaire. Well, as bad as I thought it was, it was actually worse. They edited the interview to conceal Trump’s psychopathic behavior. The good news is that at least some of the media is revealing this edited bias.

This was a bit of a challenge. Wanted to see if I can make a small version, combining the best/most interesting parts, of the previous ones. Like the black lines separating each colour, an interesting pose, more anatomically correct legs… something of a best of the 2025, profile picture.

Fevela.me – A newsreader-like client for the Nostr social network
I created Fevela, a fork of the great Jumble, because I wanted a Nostr social client that would give me back full control of my attention and time. So I designed an interface similar to that of old good newsreaders, which for me is perfect to encourage exploration of interesting content rather than doomscrolling. I then added some ad hoc filters that can help reduce noise and improve the signal.

Unlike traditional social media that’s designed to maximize your time on t … ⌘ Read more

People are having fewer kids. Their choice is transforming the world’s economy
Brian Mann and Sarah McCammon,  Correspondents  -  npr

_Stephan: The decline across the developed world in the number of children being born is a major civilization changing trend that is getting very little coverage in the media or being discussed by anyone but researchers. This article lays it all out very well, with one exception. I think a major factor in this trend … ⌘ Read more

Pentagon names new press corps from far-right outlets after reporter walkout
Eric Berger,  Contributing Journalist  -  The Guardian (U.K.)

Stephan: It is no longer going to be possible to believe or trust any media coverage coming out of the Pentagon, as this British article reports, because the free press has been replaced by fascist media reporters. Essentially, the United States has become the media equivalent of Russia or North Korea.

Triad Prague, is perhaps the only mainstream “Contemporary advertising” company, who fucking AI generates “pixelart” and everyone there is either too blind, dumb, or lazy, to at the very least, align the pixels, to a grid (or even check they’re square, the same size,…anything really).

I guess they must have some remains of shame and self preservation instinct, that made them sweep these off their portfolio website and set the video ads with them, to “Private” on YouTube.
https://youtu.be/s7GZK8FGRvA
But sadly not enough shame, to stop putting these on billboards, I have to see on daily basis and making new versions of them, with different inconsistent styles, of badly AI generated “pixelart”!

I checked their website, this is their footer, with the text that always overlaps - maybe they also never heard about CSS, can’t blame them, it’s only been a thing, since 1996.

Trump pushed Zelenskyy in vulgar ‘shouting match’ to cede land or be ‘destroyed’: report
Alexander Willis,  Staff Writer  -  Raw Story

_Stephan: Dictator Trump is a geopolitical non-democracy supporting incompetent, as he demonstrates again and again. Americans may not be paying much attention to this, and it certainly isn’t getting appropriate media coverage, but I assure you the rest of the world is watching his mistakes, and reassessing t … ⌘ Read more

Meet the young Americans who want a monarchy — but not ‘King Trump’
George Grylls,  Washington Reporter  -  The Times (U.K.)

Stephan: You hear nothing about this in American media, but there is a growing number of Gen Z Whites who actually have become so disaffected by what has happened to American democracy that they would choose monarchy over democracy. It is a glaring demonstration of how poorly educated about the history of civics these young people are.

Marina Dunbar,  Guardian U.S. Fellow  -  The Guardian (U.K.)

After taking most of the year off from role-playing, I’ve got 3 one-shots coming up in the next month, all of which need some tweaking before I can run them (as do my homebrew rules).

Plus there’s a “build a game” code challenge at work, a pair of media boxes I need to rebuild, a pair of dead machines I need to diagnose, and I’d like to (eventually) get my twtxt apps to a “releasable” state.

So many projects, so little (free) time…

The new blog for prologic.blog soon to be powered by zs using the zs-blog-template is coming along very nicely 👌 It was actually pretty easy to do the migration/conversation in the end. The results are not to shabby either.

Media bias is often responsible for reader manipulation, but what constitutes bias in news reporting? Individuals and groups are likely to disagree with both the criteria for determining what puts the “slant” in slanted news and the findings of such considerations.
